“Dr. Becca” or “Dr. B”
Dr. Rebecca Eagan, D.C., graduated from Carthage High School in 2003 and then went on to obtain her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa in Iowa City. She majored in Interdepartmental Studies with a Global Health Emphasis and minored in Spanish. It was during her final months at UI that she discovered her calling for Chiropractic. Dr. Becca was a sick kid and had suffered from debilitating migraine headaches her entire life–despite trying many migraine medications–until a college friend finally convinced her to go to a chiropractor. After a few adjustments, her headaches went away and are now managed with chiropractic adjustments alone. With regular care, Dr. Becca also noticed increased energy and decreased illnesses all without any medications! That was all it took to convince her to change her graduate plans from medical school to chiropractic college. Before graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Becca studied Activator Methods Technique, and obtained her Advanced Proficiency Rating in Chicago, IL. She also Interned with one of the Activator Instructors gaining valuable hands-on experience (including work with TMJ Disorders). She graduated from Palmer Davenport February 2012 and plans to obtain her Pediatric Diplomate to specialize in pediatrics and prenatal care.
Dr. Becca met her husband, Dr. Andrew, in college and has been married for 5 1/2 years. They have 2 miniature pinscher dogs, Cocoa and Chomper and had their first child, Leonidas, in 2014. If you happen to have your appointment in the afternoon, you can usually see him walking around the office, waving at patients, and trying to help Mommy & Daddy adjust. “I’m very outdoorsy. I love camping, hiking, volleyball, traveling, and spending time with family. When poor weather keeps me in, I like to scrapbook, cross-stitch, sew, and bake. Chiropractic has changed my life and I’ve seen it help many people who thought that they were beyond help. Stop by our office and see what doors chiropractic care can open for you!”
Dr. Becca specializes in TMD and chiropractic care during pregnancy, infancy, and childhood. She has had much success relieving pregnancy related ailments (back pain, rib pain, heartburn, circulation issues) through chiropractic care and treating breech presentations with the Webster’s technique. Even babies who present vertex and are delivered without complications can have misalignments of their spine, clavicles, and hips. The process of being born is just as hard on the newborn as it is on Mom which is why both should be checked by a chiropractor after they are released from the hospital.
Info:
Chiropractic can also help with infancy-related problems such as colic, difficulty nursing, ear infections, reflux, neurological deficits/difficulty hitting developmental landmarks. Children can also benefit from chiropractic care to help ensure proper spinal development after all the bumps and bruises brought on from playing and exploring their surroundings. Children at risk for scoliosis or suffering from allergies, asthma, or developmental delay do especially well with chiropractic care.
